Statement: Eileen Brand Hedley’s subject matter deals with her everyday observations and treasured memories-figures overlaying abstracted backgrounds, submerged in dreamlike environments. Hedley’s paintings have a whimsical, illustrative quality, but deal with emotional states in a manner, which is not always evident at first glance. Her images, at once simple, are larger panoramas of thought and feeling.
